Francis Brinker, N.D.
Francis J. Brinker, N.D., is a 1981 graduate of the National College
of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. In addition, he
completed the two year Postgraduate Studies Program in Botanical
Medicine and taught Botanical Medicine there until 1985.
Dr. Brinker's undergraduate work includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from Kansas Newman College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from the University of Kansas, Phi Beta Kappa.
He is currently co-facilitator in botanical medicine, with Dr. Andrew Weil, for the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, an instructor at the Southwest college of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences and a researcher of historic, scientific and medical literature.
In addition to numerous articles published in European and US professional Journals, Dr. Brinker is author of the ground breaking authoritative interactions text, Herb Contraindications And Drug Interactions, now going into its 3rd edition: The Eclectic Dispensatory of Botanical Therapeutics, Vol. 2 and a major contributor to The Eclectic Dispensatory of Botanical Therapeutics, Vol. 1. His work, The Toxicology of Botanical Medicine, is recognized as a fundamental text for the study of medicinal plant toxicology.
Chris D. Meletis , N.D.
Chris D. Meletis, N.D. is Dean of Clinical Education, Chief Medical Officer and Medicinary Director at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Portland, Oregon. In this administrative role, he oversees the operations of more than a dozen teaching clinics and the daytoday activities of several hundred student clinicians and physicians.
He is an experienced professor, private practice physician, and a formulate of nutriceutical products for the retail and professional markets.
Dr. Meletis is the author of numerous articles, publications
and books, including: A Naturopathic Guide to Clinical Nutrition,
The Practitioner's Guide to Orthopedic Testing, and Better
Sex, Naturally.
