Eclectic's New Internship Program: What it is and why it matters

With summer just around the corner, Eclectic is busy preparing to launch its first-ever internship program! It will be a unique program that combines hands-on experience on the medicinal herb farm with classroom learning on a wide range of topics. With it, we hope to provide a strong platform for beginning herbalists to dive into the world of holistic health.

In 2012, a group of students from the National University of Natural Medicine wanted to explore modalities and approaches from traditional Nature Cure. Nature cure was brought to America and eventually was refined and transformed into the basis for naturopathic medicine.

In the latest edition of Growing Oregon, naturopathic and dietary supplements get a closer look and why Oregon companies are leading the way to supply demand. Kid's Herb camp

Kid's Herb camp

Growing up on a herb farm to naturopathic parents with a family supplement business is a unique childhood experience. The entire family spends the seasons exploring the ever changing natural environment and using plants to make remedies. Herbs are an integral part of our everyday lives, and we grow, wildcraft, harvest and create herbal products every single day. We sleep in tipis among the herb fields, we daydream between rows of echinacea, and enjoy the fragrance of fresh blooming holy basil. This year for the first time, we have chosen to share aspects of our life by hosting a herb camp for kids on our property.
