Sandy Herb Camp

A Summer Camp for Kids Ages 8 - 12

August 13 - 17  
9 AM - 2 PM
at Eclectic Institute in Sandy, Oregon

This summer camp is held on the 75-acre grounds of Eclectic Institute, a 33-year-old company founded and owned by a family of naturopaths. The curriculum includes medicinal herbs, plants for first aid, making herbal remedies, plant identification, and ethical wildcrafting. This is a fully outdoor camp where kids can pick flowers, work with fresh plants, and create lots of herbal products.

Christine Alstat went to naturopathic school in New Zealand and is the owner of Eclectic Institute, an herb company started by her late naturopathic physician husband. A huge fan of anything plant-related, she enjoys sharing the wonders of the herb world with the younger generation on her gorgeous 165 acres of certified organic farmland.




Heather Sullivan is a nurse practitioner and herbalist, she has loved herbs and health her entire life. She has two beautiful daughters that inspire her to learn more about our natural world.  She has studied botanical medicine, nutrition, and functional medicine. She currently works in family practice in Port Townsend.
